The Inspiration Behind ZINGGFLOWER MONDAYS & The BURN SPACE Origin Story

Paul Eastburn and I played over 150 sets with DREW ZINGG at our weekly GamperDrums FunkJazz shows at The Boom Boom Room, as well as other performances throughout San Francisco in 2024. Drew took us on a wild ride every tune—each note exploding off the launch pad with rocket-fueled fire, never letting up.

We lost Drew in early 2025, so we created BURN SPACE to keep the fires burning in his name: to pay tribute to him, to pledge our forever gratitude for everything he gave us, to inspire new listeners to discover his rich musical legacy, and to ensure that his contributions are never forgotten.

Biscuits & Blues believed in our vision and gave us 26 magical weeks of presenting a different band every week.

Now, the FAB MAB (Mabuhay Gardens) has given us an incredible new home to continue the celebration and keep ZinggFlower blooming.
